The U.S. Fund for UNICEF is piloting a two-year project aimed at educating youth and providing a platform for educators to discuss global issues and their instruction, based in Colorado, on issues that affect children worldwide. The project’s core components are:
1) creation of BE UNICEF
High School Clubs
2) educator workshops
The BE UNICEF High School Club program is a youth-led initiative that partners with the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to educate, advocate, and fundraise on behalf of UNICEF's lifesaving work. Activities will be reinforced with classroom instructions utilizing TeachUNICEF resources.
Educator workshops, facilitated by the U.S. Fund for UNICEF’s Education Department, will provide high school teachers an opportunity to explore global education by sharing pedagogical practices, reviewing current literature, identifying TeachUNICEF resources that apply to their classrooms, and identifying ways students can take action (i.e., BE UNICEF High School Clubs).
